AUTHENTIC TEXAS CAFES:
Where to find the best chicken-fried steak, cornbread, pecan pie, and other Texas favorites

by Susan Ellis Kennard and Ed Kennard. B&W maps. Condition: UNREAD, but not perfect, 1986 Texas Monthly Press Trade PB. Tiny edgewear with shelfwear hinge crease and light tanning to white cover edges. Interior clean & tight. Content: Chapters based on geographic areas of Texas detail restaurants of smaller cities & counties (Tyler, Boerne, Burnet) and then by the 6 largest Texas towns. Description of the restaurant, the owners, and the fare with address, telephone number, and easy-to-read map tomake sure you get there. Since 1986 I'm sure some of these restaurants have closed, but I've been to many of them throughout the State over the past 2 years so I think most of them are still in business.
